Faculty Senate Service Committee Fund

The goal of the DSU Faculty Senate Service Committee is to support the goals and mission of Delta State University as well as the wider populations of Cleveland and the Mississippi Delta, the Service Committee of the Faculty Senate (FSSC) will sponsor yearly charitable projects.

These efforts will aid causes that meet the needs and uphold the values of our communities. The FSSC will create outreach programs, mount fundraising campaigns and bring together the faculty of DSU with students and citizens to do the necessary work of community support.

This year's inaugural project is the Bolivar County Literacy Council's "Fund-A-Delta-Tutor" program.  This program will help to fund Delta State University students who are employed by the Council to benefit students K-6th grade with homework assistance and concentrated learning for the entire school year.

The goal of our campaign is to raise $7,200!  This year's campaign will go through November 22.  Any pledge made between now and November 22nd may be fulfilled between now and June 30, 2017.

Please consider a gift to the Delta State University Faculty Senate Service Committee Fund for 2016-17 to help fund the wages of Delta State University students working as tutors at the After-School Tutoring program of the Bolivar County Literacy Council.
